Following on from the past two successful Marian Soil Health Field Days staged by Simon Mattsson, 2014 Nuffield Scholar, our newly formed group, Central Queensland Soil Health Systems, is preparing to hold a similar Soil Health Field Day on Tuesday 26th and 27th April, 2016.

8.00am Soil Workshop at Simon Mattsson’s farm
The Central Queensland Soil Health Systems (CQSHS) group was formed out of the recognition that healthy soils are needed to achieve a healthier environment and higher productivity. The group’s mission statement is:
RESTORING AND BUILDING SOIL HEALTH THROUGH COMBINING PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE AND SCIENCE with the objective of INVESTING IN SOIL BIOLOGY TO IMPROVE YIELD AND ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE.
The Central Queensland Soil Health Systems (Associate member of Pioneer Catchment & Landcare Group Inc.) is open to membership from all sectors of agriculture, farming and grazing and the wider community.
