The driver of a ute is lucky not be injured after a close call with a train on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the crash at Homebush but were not needed.
It is understood Emegency Services were called to Sarina-Homebush Rd, but could not find the crash.
With crushing in full swing across the region, Canegrowers Mackay is calling for the public to be aware and cautious around the heavy machinery and equipment moving around on major and minor roads.
Chairman of Canegrowers Mackay Kevin Borg said: “We’d like to remind everyone to stay alert while we go about the business of getting the cane crop cut and into our regional mills.”
“We also remind all farmers and workers in the industry to be mindful of their own safety on farms and in the public arena.
“Times are tough already, we don’t want any injuries or worse during the harvest – let’s all stay safe together,” Mr Borg said.
After searching the nearby roads they came across what is understood to be a tray-back LandCruiser, that was involved in a minor crash with the train.
There were no injuries.
