Wilmar’s AgServices Team is running information sessions for Proserpine and Mackay region cane growers next week (30 April to 3 May) about the benefits of using Bio Dunder liquid fertiliser in their farming operations.
Agribusiness Agronomist Damian Baxter said the six presentations would include an overview of Wilmar’s Bio Dunder product range, an update on research and
development and the latest on Bio Dunder farm trials.
Bio Dunder is a co-product of Wilmar’s BioEthanol Distillery at Sarina, where molasses from Wilmar’s Plane Creek, Proserpine and Burdekin sugar mills is processed into ethanol.
Wilmar AgServices has developed the Bio Dunder range of liquid fertilisers to ensure there are products to suit a wide range of farming applications.
“There are more than 50 products in our liquid fertiliser range, and each of these has been formulated to match the requirements of different soil types, regions and crops,” Mr Baxter said.
“As part of our season launch in the Mackay region, we will be providing an overview of our range of liquid fertiliser products and how to easily select a product that best suits the nutritional requirements of a particular block,” he said.
“This in turn makes it very simple to create a nutrition plan for your farm.”
Mr Baxter said the team would also provide an update on the new Enhanced Efficiency Fertiliser range of products that contain the nitrification inhibitor Vizura.
“The addition of Vizura to your Bio Dunder product helps keep the nitrogen in the more stable ammonium form. We will be presenting information on the product range and advice around using these products,” he said.
The Proserpine information meeting is being held at the Hotel Metropole from 5.30pm Monday (30 April), and includes dinner.
