ACFA welcomes $200 million extension to Reef Rescue program

‘The Australian Cane Farmers Association (ACFA) welcomes the Federal Governments’ commitment to a $200 million extension to the Reef Rescue program for another 5 years announced in last nights’ Budget.

The Reef Rescue program is an important initiative which has produced positive results by enhancing on-farm practices to help reduce the run-off of chemicals onto the Great Barrier Reef.

The ACFA also welcomes the allocation of $230 million to research and development (R&D) corporations.’
